Unable to sort out transport for your pet?

Don't worry, we offer a Drop off/Collection service at excellent rates.

 

Just arrange a time and we will collect your cat so you can concentrate on getting the important things done like packing your suitcase for the big trip. When your safely back home we will drop your pet back to you while you get the kettle on and put your feet up.

OUR CATTERY

We are the premier cattery service in the Midlands.

​

What started off as a hobby grew very quickly into a full scale commercial cattery for the owners Lee and Donna.

​

"We built the first  pens purely because we love cats and wanted to look after them in our spare time. The pens were spacious and set in a peaceful garden away from city noises and barking dogs and it wasn't very long before things took off. Demand was really high and we got lots of fantastic feedback about how nice the pens were and how the cats went home relaxed."

​

Lee and Donna quickly realised that they wanted to look after cats full time and set about building what has become the premier cattery in the Midlands. The cattery is just a 5 minute drive to Birmingham Airport and is perfect for dropping your cats off before you jet off on your holidays.

​

Village Garden Cattery ("we", "us") is a family-run boarding cattery. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy, and we are committed to handling it responsibly and in line with UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What information we collect

When you book with us, enquire, or visit our website, we may collect your name, email address, phone number and home address; details about your cat, including feeding, medical and veterinary information needed to care for them during their stay; the dates and details of your booking; and any messages you send us through our website contact form, by email, by phone or via WhatsApp.

We do not collect any payment card details through this website. Where payments are taken, they are handled at the cattery or through our booking provider.

How we collect it

Most of the information we hold comes directly from you: when you make a booking through our online booking system (KennelBooker), book a viewing, fill in the contact form on this website, or contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We use your information to manage your booking and care for your cat during their stay (necessary for our contract with you); to contact you about your booking, your cat's welfare, or in an emergency (necessary for our contract with you and our legitimate interest in providing a safe service); to respond to enquiries you send us (our legitimate interest in running our business); and to keep basic business records as required by law, including records connected to our animal boarding licence (legal obligation).

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the business: KennelBooker, which operates our online booking system; Wix, which hosts this website and processes contact form submissions; and Google (Gmail and Google Drive), which we use for email and for storing business records. These providers process your information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We may also share information where the law requires it — for example with our licensing authority, or with a vet if your cat needs urgent treatment.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records and related correspondence for as long as needed to run the business and meet our legal and licensing obligations, after which they are deleted. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are not kept longer than necessary to deal with them.
